JOB DESCRIPTION: CONSTRUCTION CREW LABORER

Hours:
Part-time or full-time @ 6.90 - 8.50/hr

Supervised by:
crew foreman & owner/supervisor

Purpose of position:
To work as directed under crew foreman in implementing landscape plans, working alongside foreman & other crew members (usually 2 - 3)

Responsibilities:
Carry out direction from foreman & owner/supervisor in variety of manual & equipment assisted tasks including - clearing & grubbing out, mixing soil, grading, trenching, laying sod, seeding, planting, spreading gravel & bark mulch, laying pavers, setting rock, finishing concrete, building decks & docks, tending flowers & weeding in maintenance areas, etc
Cooperate as a team member with crew
Work to achieve high standard in a timely manner
Be ready to learn by observation, instruction & correction

Education required:
High school diploma or equivalent (high school students are welcome for part-time work or full time summer season)

Skills & Knowledge Required:
Basic use of hand tools - shovel, rake, grubbing hoe, etc
Basic appreciation for beauty and plants
Ability to work in wind & rain
Ability to do physical work on a daily basis

Experience or training required:
Experience helpful - we provide in-house training and other training opportunities

Certification or licensing required:
WSDL - for full time employment (part-time and/or seasonal employment may not require drivers license)

Own transportation to and from work
